Possibly the easiest drum kit ever to reconfigure for left-handed playing! Thanks to the Zip-Kit's ingenious design, simply swivel the kick and hi-hat pedal assemblies through 180 degrees and arrange the drums and cymbals to suit your preferred playing position. There's no complicated hardware to dismantle or rebuild, making it easy to switch between right- and left-handed setups in moments.

Top down

Compact, durable and ready for regular playing

The NUVO Zip-Kit is designed to withstand the demands of regular use. Its robust construction, simplified hardware and integrated design help reduce the risk of damage, while making maintenance and repairs straightforward. The compact, self-contained structure also means fewer separate components to manage, making setup and packing away refreshingly simple.

For teachers, schools and community music groups, these same qualities make the Zip-Kit a practical and long-lasting solution for regular lessons, workshops and group performances.

Expandedkit

Adjustable and expandable

The Zip-Kit is designed to grow and adapt with the player. Fully height-adjustable drums, cymbals, and stool make it suitable for children from eight years old right through to adults, while four telescoping posts allow you to position the components comfortably and tailor the kit to your playing style.

The Zip-Kit+ comes complete with an additional 8" tom and 10" crash cymbal alongside the Essential Kit components, offering more options for fills, accents and musical expression. Its modular design also allows you to expand or rearrange the kit as your playing develops.

What musicians and educators are saying

“The Zip-Kit makes real drumming possible anywhere. No barriers, no excuses.”

Chad Smith - Red Hot Chilli Peppers

Chad
Bashiri

“The Zip-Kit is about access. Real instruments for real expression, wherever you are.”

Bashiri Johnson - Whitney Houston, Madonna & others

“After playing this, I think it would be a huge asset to up-and-coming young drummers. In a classroom setting, you can have a number of drummers having a lesson together or they can use it as a practice kit on their own.”

Ian Young – Head of Contemporary Music and Percussion,
St Catherine's School, Bramley

Donna Peters

“I really like it! My favourite part of the kit is the hi-hat – it sounds very good and considering the way it is connected it has great control. With a group of kids in a class, if one doesn’t quite understand they can glance across to the tutor to see what they are doing, unlike large drum kits where you are often hidden.”

Donna Peters – Professional drummer and educator

The story behind the Zip-Kit

Zip-Kit is the brainchild of Dave Wish, Founder of Music Will, a nonprofit organisation that has provided free music lessons and instruments to nearly 2,000,000 students across the USA.

Dave spent years developing the perfect classroom drum set in his basement workshop. After meeting with the folks at NUVO, the Zip-Kit became a reality!

“I invented the Zip-Kit so that entire classrooms of kids could learn to play the drums at the same time,” says Dave. “You just can’t do this with regular drum sets – they’re way too loud, too big and too expensive.” Dave Wish, Founder of Music Will
